Arag-Alive substrates are pre-packaged with millions of beneficial live bacteria to help quickly power through the 'cycle period' of your aquarium start up!
Starting your aquarium with Arag-Alive gives it the bacteria it needs to fight and break down toxic elements like ammonia and nitrite! You can cycle your aquarium faster and prepare a healthy aquatic ecosystem for your tank inhabitants.
Arag-Alive Fiji Pink substrate has an approx grain size of 0.5-1.5 mm. Medium grain size as a middle ground fits most aquarium setups. Helps buffer and maintain pH levels to 8.2.
The size and color of the gravel and substrates listed can vary due to natural availability and the resolution of your computer monitor.
For help selecting how much gravel you need for your aquarium, check our Aquarium Substrate Buying Guide.

Instructions
When setting up an aquarium with CaribSea's live products please do not rinse the substrate! The substrate should be carefully placed on the bottom of the aquarium, and your preconditioned water should be added carefully. Cloudiness will be greatly reduced if a plate or empty bag is used to stop the water being added from disturbing the substrate underneath.
