Details
Anacropora is a very unusual and uncommon SPS coral. It has only recently begun to gain popularity and become more readily available. At first appearance, it resembles some smoother, deepwater Acropora coral species but tends to grow in a much denser, branching colony with many knobs and forks. Branches may fork and join with neighboring branches as the colony grows.
As the colony grows denser, it is important to make sure the colony is getting enough flow to transport nutrients into and waste and debris out of the center.
Lighting requirements can vary depending on the color of the colony and the color may change over time. Higher lighting will tend to lead to lighter colors while moderate lighting will promote deeper colors.
