The Aqua-Mag is extremely energy efficient and is designed to run continuously. The pump consists of a power unit encased in water-proof epoxy which creates a magnetic field. This drives a powerful ceramic magnetic impeller, the only moving part. It does not contain seals or contaminating oils therefore, it is virtually maintenance free. Mag-drives are UL listed to USA and Canadian safety standards.

Good product, works well and easy to use. If using in an aquarium, buy plants to help camoflage.

I am extremely unhappy with these pumps. I've purchased several of these pumps now, and have had systematic problems with extreme noise/vibrations from these pumps. They are running on a 75-gallon tank, powering a wet/dry system. I've even bought replacement impellers, and that does not solve the problems. For full diclosure, they are not submerged, and maybe that's the problem. However, this is the way I have always run them for the past 15 years. In the last 3 years or so, these pumps have been a huge disappointment.
I will be replacing these with anything other than the this brand.
this pump is way too loud.. and gph are inconsistent.

I bought this pump for the return on my sump tank. the pump was received 2 and a half weeks later. And this pump is really loud, since I bought it I call customer service and complain they said all the pumps of the same they all sound loud. the waterflow is not consistent I have to constantly adjust waterflow from supply line to maintain water levels in my sump.. don't recommend this pump, buyer be ware. 68 bucks for a rattling inconsistent pump yeahhh..there's better pumps more quiet and that acually work right for same price

i was having one bought from friend for the sump.which died ,this working fine, for the sound and vibration some sponge under the pump make it quit,great product so far so good
