Details
The Royal Gramma Basslet (Gramma loreto) is one of the most popular and well-known basslets in the aquarium trade. It has a half magenta (front), half gold-yellow (rear) body with a thin black line that slants backwards through the eye. The color merges gradually from front to back around the middle of the fish. They also have a black spot on the front of the dorsal fin.
Grammas are cave dwelling fish that need good hiding places to feel secure. They are generally peaceful fish, but may not tolerate other cave dwelling fish or other grammas in a small tank. They are ideal for reef aquariums. Their diet should consist of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp and fortified brine shrimp.

I have two of these, bought at the same time a few years ago. They get along with each other very well. They are fast diggers and quickly excavate area under the live rock to escape to. I had them in a Nuvo 30L for a couple of years but recently transferred them to my 40 gal reef tank which they like much better.
