Details
The Spotted Coral Croucher is a unique little fish resembling the Clown Gobies (Gobiodon sp.) or Anglerfish and Frogfish but are actually more closely related to Lionfish and Scorpionfish. They have compact bodies with rounded heads and are also sometimes known as "Gumdropfish".
Although not considered a big risk as they are very docile, they do have mildly venomous spines; use caution and avoid handling.
Coral Crouchers live in and around coral heads, especially branching corals like Acropora and Pocillopora. They are considered Reef Safe and are safe around most invertebrates but may eat very small crustaceans like Sexy Shrimp. They will accept most small meaty foods like mysis or brine shrimp and may accept prepared foods like flakes and pellets with time.
