Tip...Remove water from the tank in separate container and pre-dissolve the product for several days and then put the water and product mixture back into the tank. It is the only thing that will kill cyano-bacteria.

Works very well. I've used it in my planted tank with freshwater inverts with no negative side effects.

I got this product at a local store and thought it important to share my results. I have struggled to control the Cyanobacteria in my planted tank for years without the use of meds. I've tried adjusting the lighting, adding plants, more water changes, and even tried to use hydrogen peroxide. Tip, don't use the peroxide. It will kill the bacteria for a short time but can damage the plants and cause an ammonia spike. And the bacteria will come back. This product got rid of the bacteria with no harmfull effects at all. My plants took off after the treatment. After a month no bacteria has returned. One container will give 2 doses to a 55 gal. And the directions recommend 2 doses.

By the end of the week it was all gone! Works grate.

Works like a charm in just a few days. No adverse effects to my ghost shrimp or live plants. Name has changed to Blue-Green Slime Stain Remover, but it is the same product.
