Malfunctions

I've tried no less than 4 of these heaters. None have lasted a day beyond one year. 2 of them stopped working within a week, and one overheated to 96 degrees in my Molly tank. I heard popping noises and saw white patches on the tubes...then 3 of them stopped working. I returned 3.
Has been my go-to heater for my betta tanks for years.

This is my go-to heater for my betta tanks. I recommend it to all of the members in my betta health & happiness group on FaceBook. It turns off when it reaches 78 degrees F. The members in my group all prefer it to the dangerous micro and mini heaters that don't have a preset temperature like this heater does and so their fish will be cooked to death.
