The Yellow Sea Cucumber is usually solid yellow in color with a knobby texture. Some may also have greenish-grey color between the knobby ridges. It uses its branched tentacles for feeding. They will take fine particulate matter out of the water and should be fed at least every other day with some type of invertebrate food such as marine snow or microvert.
These are very small cucumbers - typically .5-1 inch at the time of sale - so be sure that they do not get near pump intakes and overflow drains as these may damage the cucumber to the point of killing them. Though they stay quite small, their bright coloration makes them a wonderful addition to any reef or fish aquarium.
