About our Retail Store

Visit us Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay and Samsung pay. Personal checks and CareCredit are unfortunately not accepted in store at this time.

Our Curbside Pickup is available Monday - Saturday: 9am - 5pm

Follow these steps to place an order for Curbside Pickup:

  1. Call the store at 1-888-THAT-PET, Monday through Saturday from 9am-5pm to place your order with our call center reps. *For same day pick up, orders must be placed by 3PM
  2. When your order is picked & ready for you, our team will call YOU.
  3. When you arrive, look for the 4 designated parking spots for Curbside Pickup (to the right of the store entrance).
  4. Call our store at the local number: 717-299-5691, Option 9. This will alert us that you are here & ready for your items.

Please Note - our website does NOT contain our entire store inventory, but the call center can look up your prior purchases if you're a Pet Rewards member in case you're not sure exactly the product you need.

Yes, you can still use our store coupons with Curbside Pickup! Simply reference the coupon & the code on your call, and bring a digital or printed copy of the coupon when you pick up your order.

The retail store and web store selections are very similar with a few exceptions. While our selection of large glass and acrylic aquariums can be viewed online, they are only available for pick up in the retail store due to shipping difficulties. Drop-shipped items may only be available online. In addition, our web store inventory reflects the inventory in our warehouse, not our retail store. If you would like to inquire about the availability of a product in the retail store, please call 888-842-8738.

If you find a lower local advertised price at the time of purchase, we will match the lower price if the following conditions have been met:

  • The entire printed advertisement, showing the regular retail price and sale price for the identical dog or cat food (identical item/model number, manufacturer, size, weight, flavor, variety), is presented at the time of purchase.
  • Price must be valid at the time the price match is requested.
  • The advertised item must be identical to the item you are purchasing, defined as the same model number, manufacturer, weight, size, flavor and variety.
  • We cannot price match online prices or offers, prices advertised as a percent off, dollar off, clearance or close-out offers, limited quantity/supply offers, private label pricing, paid membership club pricing, purchase for gift card offers, buy 1 get 1 free offers, mail-in rebate or instant rebate offers, misprinted ad/typographical error prices, or ads where the original pricing for the dog or cat food cannot be determined.
  • You may not use any coupons on an item that has been price matched.
  • Not valid on prior purchases or in conjunction with other offers.
  • Limit of 5 competitor price matches per identical item per guest.
  • No rain checks will be issued if the price match item is not in stock.
  • We reserve the right to verify a competitor’s advertised price and availability of the item.
  • We reserve the right to rescind this offer at any time for any reason.

Annual dog licenses are available for purchase at our Lancaster, PA retail location (ask a cashier or sales associate for assistance). Please note, they are only for residents of Lancaster County, PA. If you're interested in learning more about the importance of licensing your dog, or would like to review this year's charges for dog licenses please see this page. Please fill out one (1) form per dog license you are purchasing and present the form at any register.

Yes! We have recently opened this feature up for individuals living in Pennsylvania. It applies to most of the products on the website. You will see Customer Pickup as a shipping option in the cart if the item you're purchasing applies. If your order is placed this way, you will receive a phone call when it is ready for pickup at our Lancaster, PA location. Please note, our website, at this time, does NOT contain all of our in-store inventory, so if there's something you're not seeing, please call the store at 1-888-THAT-PET during business hours. In addition, some items on our website are only available for purchase using this method and are marked as such.

The Pirate’s Cove Touch Tank is probably the most popular display at That Fish Place-That Pet Place. Gently touch stingrays as they effortlessly glide by and observe other species in the pool as they pick through the sand and explore the broken galleon run aground in the center of the cove. The unique fish-shaped touch tank is a one of a kind, hands-on experience for the whole family, located between the fish room and the information desk in our retail store. Pirate’s Cove is tons of fun for the whole family and it provides us with a venue to properly educate visitors about the amazing creatures it houses. Free feeding shows and question/answer sessions are held each weekend.

Absolutely! We love to see pets of all kinds, and they love to "shop" for their own treats and toys. Please be sure to have your pet leashed and under control during their visit. You are responsible for the actions of your pet for the duration of your time at That Fish Place-That Pet Place. We ask that all pets are fully vaccinated before visiting our store. This is to protect our customers' and employees' pets from communicable diseases like Parvovirus.

Using a gift card purchased in our retail store for an online purchase, can be a little confusing. When entering one of these gift cards during checkout, enter the 9-digit code in the upper right-hand corner, on the back of the gift card. This only applies to gift cards purchased in our retail store and not gift cards purchased online.
